Many times I heard about "tough love"., which is especially applicable to the vulnerability of a solo parent like me. Chris VG (2017) from urbandictionary.com defines it as another version of "being cruel to be kind". He said that showing someone tough love today will save them heartache in the future but may cause a small amount of upset for the receiver immediately after the "Tough Love" has been dispensed. More sufferings await if there's no interference done to a person.
Tough love for me is the kind of parenting I need to employ. It means that my love should not be weak and I must nurture my child with a strict guidance and proper discipline so as to acquire the values in life and achieve the good character.
It has been said that we learn values through work. Our characters are built by the values we learn as a young child. As we grow older, these values remain on us and they are the strong foundation of who we are at present. With this rationalization, I considered bringing my child to a meaningful summer activity that allows him to have fun and to learn.
It is not the first time I heard about the Mcdo Kiddie Crew Training but since we always go out of the country every summer, we usually miss this kind of opportunity. This year, we had the time and it was my son's chance to experience this summer program with his fellow kids.
Mcdonald's Regalado branch offers a five-day fun filled workshop. The branch is only ten- minute away from our place via public vehicle, so it was the best choice. The last day was for the graduation. The kids get to learn the basics of being a Service Crew in Mcdonald's,

In the workshop, the kids experienced on-floor restaurant
training (Lobby, Counter, Drive-Thru), Cheeseburger Making, Dessert Making,
Scrapbook Making and song and dance numbers. The registration fee is 650 php,
inclusive of the following: t-shirt, cap, bag, i.d. with lace, apron, chef's hat, scrapbook, kiddie crew CD, completion button pins, certificate and meals per day.
Indeed the program teaches children the values of discipline, hard work, teamwork, responsibility and sharing through art workshop, on the floor training and other group activities. It is also a great way to win new friends and keep a lifelong friendship.
What's more, even mothers truly enjoyed the entire program. The "we-can-make-it-happen" moms have found great facebook friends from the workshop.
